|This fantastic retreat is located in Santa Teresa on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. It is a long stretch of pristine white sand ideal for hanging out under a palm tree, taking long walks or exploring the tide pools. It has also been rated number one in the top 10 beach destinations in Central America for 2012 on Trip Advisor. Due to its remoteness it has been protected from any over-development and maintains a low-key feel. Call toll free from the U.S. or Canada at 1-866-493-9642 or visit http://www.vajrasoltravel.com
April 21 – 27 is a very special Vajrasol retreat. Joined by yoga instructor and teacher Bill Eager we enhance our regular yoga program with additional teachings and experiences including Yoga Nidra and Chakra Energy Balancing. The retreat is led by world class yoga teachers and a Vajra Sol Yoga Guide who is with you throughout the week. Begin each day with breakfast at your leisure followed by either a 1.5-hour yoga session or a 2-hour Stand Up Paddle (SUP) outing or session. After lunch there is additional yoga instruction and practice, and free time to relax by the pool, take a siesta, receive a massage, walk the beach or visit with new friends. Wednesday is a free day for those who want to participate in one of the exciting tours offered in the area. For those in the SUP component there will be three half-day outings. For those in the Pure Yoga option the morning yoga classes are daily. The yoga sessions are designed for mixed levels with posture modifications included. The yoga focuses on synchronizing the poses with the breath and is about the total integration of mind, body and spirit. It helps improve flexibility, alignment, balance and strength to build and maintain a healthy body and connect with spirit. Practicing yoga surrounded by Costa Rica’s magical pura vida natural energy leaves one blissfully renewed and rejuvenated.
The retreat is held at a 17-room exclusive luxurious beachfront hotel just steps away from the surf. It has been written up in Yoga Journal as one of the hot and new retreat locations (June 2012 issue) and most importantly it has been highly praised by past guests. The property has a beach-elegant, casual and intimate ambiance with a restaurant serving delectable and mainly organic cuisine and a free-form, chemical-free swimming pool.
Sandra Tedeschi has been practicing yoga for over fifteen years and teaches Vinyasa Flow with influences from other types of yoga she has studied over the years. She received her advanced teacher training in Interdisciplinary Yoga from the Nosara Yoga Institute and is certified with the internationally recognized Yoga Alliance. In her classes she creates a welcoming and nurturing environment with a focus on the balance between the playfulness and challenge of the practice. She greatly values the magical, calming and soul-shifting experience of practicing yoga immersed in the surroundings of nature. Sandra lives in Costa Rica, is the founder of Vajra Sol and has been leading retreats since 2005, one of the oldest yoga retreat programs in Costa Rica.
