Excess sugar consumption has been linked to just about every chronic disease, from tooth decay, obesity and heart disease to diabetes and even some cancers.
If you are tempted to blow your New Year’s resolution on a heart shaped chocolate dessert this Valentine’s Day, then this class is for you!!!
Chef AJ will show you how to make decadent desserts using only dates to sweeten. Dates are a WHOLE FOOD, and unlike any of the processed and refined sugars (or even worse, the artificial sweeteners) they contain fiber and micronutrients — vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals and antioxidants. Refined sugars contain empty calories and no nutrients.
In this fun, informative and delicious class, Chef AJ will teach you how to make Apple Pie Hearts, Caramel Apples, Chocolate Mousse Torte with Rasberry Coulis and Peanut Butter Fudge Truffles.
All recipes are made from WHOLE FOOD plant based ingredients and are free of dairy, gluten, oil, refined sugar and salt. Each recipe will be demonstrated and all attendees will be given samples and the recipes.
