Before becoming a full-time yoga teacher in 2003, Su Choy was a college English/Communications Professor, and taught literature and writing at several colleges and universities through the U.S. While teaching English in Tampa, Florida, she completed her 200-hour teacher training at the Kripalu affiliate school as well as additional training in the breath-focused styles of Krishnamacharya yoga therapy and Kaliji's Tri Yoga out of California.
She is completing her 500-hour training with Yoganand Michael Carroll in the Pranakriya style of yoga and therapeutic yoga arts, and regularly presents workshops on the depth practices of pranayama, mantra and mudra. She also teaches dance, pilates, Qi Gong and martial arts, and enjoys blending elements from those disciplines in order to create new and exciting mind/body classes that benefit everyone. |
