Beginning Wednesday, February 27, 6:00-7:30pm

At this time of year especially, when so many of us experience the winter blues, an opportunity to experience a few gentle yoga postures and mindfulness techniques in a supportive community may help us.

Participants will join together to learn about yoga philosophy regarding depression as well as cultural myths and misconceptions about mood challenges. We will practice yoga postures to promote lasting emotional wellness, and explore mindfulness practices that may have value throughout our lives.

Who is this series for?

If you are interested in learning about and considering the Yoga perspective on mood challenges, and you are open to trying postures and mindfulness practices that impact thoughts and beliefs, and emotions, this is the workshop for you!

Whether you have experienced depression yourself or know, love, or work with someone who has, please join in this exploration.

We invite you all to approach this often difficult topic in a spirit of community that acknowledges the universality of human suffering, and the inherent and equal spiritual value of each individual.

Please wear comfortable clothes for movement, and bring a water bottle for hydration. No prior yoga experience is required.

Sally Sugatt is a Certified Classical Yoga instructor at the 500 hour level, a Certified Yoga Therapist, and a licensed psychotherapist in practice in Exeter.
