|To live is to slowly be born. – Saint Exupery.
Over and over again in the yogic literature is the story of a soul getting lost and finding its way home again. The story of a human being conflicted, confronted, or alone who finds a way to deep peace and powerful living. The stories are teaching us a path, are descriptions of the path, and are gentle love letters to your own warrior heart, inviting you to seek. The ancient yogis did not found a new religion; they knew there are already religions and priests enough. They didn’t hope to found a new set of exercise and diet plans, either. What they sought were honest ways to experience soul, rather than read about it. To know god, rather than be taught religion.
They made two discoveries; first, that most human beings come nowhere near their full potential, and secondly, that any human being could with the tools and practices of yoga. What, then, could yoga mean for you and your potential?
All the usual good handouts and take home journaling work, and two gentle flows illustrating the path of the Bhagavad Gita and other yogic texts. Dig deep. Wake up. Know what it is to be alive.
