Explore timeless universal tales of Yoga's great spiritual texts and stories behind some of the namesakes of our most beloved poses to give deeper meaning, intention and feeling to your teaching and practice. Day one will explore the power of myth as the transformative practice of Svadyaya, or self study for personal insight and self discovery, the second day will focus on creating practices and sequences to bring these themes ALIVE !

About Emily: Emily Stone is a Senior Teacher at Laughing Lotus NYC and SF and part of the Faculty of SF & NYC Teacher Training. Born in New Orleans and raised in Brooklyn, Emily has been teaching yoga since 2006. Her wild and wooly career has also included a fourteen-year stint teaching high school Latin, a two-year turn as an on-camera gossip reporter, and great gobs of inspiring foreign travel. Intelligent, exuberant and sweaty, her classes are a roadmap straight to that better brain that beats behind our lungs.
