Loving Your Spine: The secrets to staying healthy on and off the mat with chiropractor Brendan Riordan and yoga teacher Kate Krumsiek 2:00pm - 4:00pm Did you know that your spine is fundamentally linked to every aspect of your life? Everything from what you feel, think, see, hear, smell, taste, touch, and experience to how well your immune system functions to how well you digest your food are all connected through your spine. In this highly compelling workshop, explore with us the following: • Posture and its effect on our health • The main functions of our spine • How our experiences in life impact our spine and how our spine impacts our experiences in life • Basic neurology (Don’t worry not too much!) • How our spine is part of our connection to higher spiritual centers Between each discussion of the various topics Kate will lead us through yoga asanas (poses) to allow us to experience some of the information we’ve covered. Then, we will do some light hands-on work so that each of you can feel healthy postures and alignments in your own body. Come play!
