The unique flowing Yang yoga sequences taught by Paul Grilley have a somewhat Tai Chi look to them, and use Chinese sounding names such as "Flying Dragon," but you'll recognize many of the postures. In this workshop you'll learn the three main yang flow sequences taught by Paul Grilley. These can be performed anywhere without a mat and are a nice addition to your yoga repertoire.

Yin yoga has become popular in the last few years due primarily to the work of both Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers. Yin postures are designed to open and stimulate the meridians, or energy pathways in the body. Most of the yin yoga floor postures are passive "gravity" poses such as forward fold, sphinx and pigeon, but there are also some interesting variations specific to yin practice. After having warmed the body with the Yang sequences, you'll be able to work deeply, giving the body time to safely release all the way down to the fascia or connective tissue. This tissue is believed by Yin devotees to be the main conduit for the flow of Chi or Prana through the body. The result of combining the Yin and Yang styles of practice is deeply satisfying.
