This is a yoga immersion to re-kindle your yoga fire. It is a chance to learn more about yoga and yourself. There will be CEU's offered for this immersion program for teachers affiliated with the Yoga Alliance.

Yoga immersion with Anna September 9-13 - Includes:

* MORNING YOGA CLASS- 2 hours. The class will include: theme orientation, mantra, mudra, pranayama, asana practice with attention to breath at forefront, delicious finishing postures, and a long savasana, followed by a 10-15 minute meditation session.

* 2 hours daily of Yoga studies in these areas: history/philosophy of yoga, yogic lifestyle studies, practice alignment, mantras (songs), mudras (hand gestures), pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation.

* Relaxing end-of-day yoga practice to soothe the yogi

* One vegetarian cooking session/lunch together in the Davannayoga Kitchen (Thursday)

* One live-Kirtan night of chanting - this will be a SPECIAL 2 hour Kirtan with the first hour receiving the history/philosophy/benefits of Kirtan and the next hour chanting . (Wednesday)

* Healthy homemade breads, fruit, refreshing juice and other snacks between the early morning session and the mid-morning session.

Cost: $475usd (this price does not include transport, lodging or meals except for the veg. lunch together and the mid-morning breakfasts. There are many economical housing options nearby.

MORE INFORMATION On The Immersion & HOW TO RESERVE YOUR SPACE Yoga Immersion with Anna Laurita

Each morning you will have 2 hours of active yoga practice and 2 hours of yoga studies. You will have afternoons free and then reconvene for 1.5 hours or more of very relaxing practice in the evening. This course is for you if you want to learn more about yoga for yourself or for helping others. This is not a *teacher training, but an immersion program for those who just want to learn more about yoga. Below is our daily schedule and some ideas for spending your idle time here in paradise.

*25 Hours of Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Units for existing teachers will be offered for those interested.


Monday: 9-11 - Vinyasa flow with intention and focus - ending in an intro to meditation which we will build upon on all week long (something to take home with you!) 11-1 - What Is Yoga? & Using the 8 Limbs of Yoga In Your Life - What is your Foundation? 5-6:30pm - Evening Restorative Yoga with aromatherapy massage (very relaxing) Tuesday: 9-11 - Vinyasa Flow with focus on the Chakras 11-1 - History overview of Hatha Yoga - how did yoga get to where it is today? Time for Q and A. 5-6:30pm - Yoga Nidra session (very, very relaxing!) Wednesday: 9-11am - Hatha Yoga Session - focus on anatomical alignment and unwavering focus on breath. 11-1 - How to align your practice including aligning with intention, mantra, mudra, pranayama, savasana and special focus on aligning some key postures. Time for Q and A on postures and pranayama practices, that you may be working on currently. 5-6:30pm - The importance of Pranayama (breathing exercises) & Pranayama exercises. 7-8:15pm - Kirtan!!! Live music with call and response chanting. Thursday: 9-11am - Hatha Yoga Flow class with variations, supported postures and some partner postures. 11-1 - Yoga and Vegetarianism lunch, creating and sharing a vegetarian lunch with discussion on vegetarianism. For vegetarians and those curious about vegetarianism. 5-6:30pm - Gentle Restorative Yoga and guided meditation Friday: 9-11am - Vinyasa Flow celebrating Ganesh who helps us to overcome obstacles. Includes small talk on dieties in general. 11-1 -Daily practice suggestions, Q and A session, yogic lifestyle exercise. Closing. WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH THE REST OF YOUR DAY AND YOUR EVENINGS ? Your Afternoons can be spent shopping, sight seeing, walking, napping or enjoying a delicious long lunch on the beach with your favorite book or friend. July is low tourist season in Puerto Vallarta which we locals love. In July nothing is crowded, hotels and flights are very economical and the town is very peaceful. We can reserve very affordable spa services within blocks from davannayoga including: Manicure/pedicure; all types of massage; facials and more. For a more active afternoon , there are guided mountain bike rides, hikes, zipline tours, surfing opportunities and other adventure activities. We have beautiful movie theatres as well if you are looking for an indoor activity. At Night enjoy the many beach restaurants only blocks from Davannayoga, and hop into the ocean at night for a special treat. WHAT WILL THE MORNING YOGA CLASSES BE LIKE? This classes are appropriate for ALL LEVELS wanting to learn MORE or re-fresh their understanding of yoga. The daily practice classes will be created by the leader with the confirmed students' level in mind. There will be many options given throughout these practices so that everybody will be able to practice to their level and range of movement. The daily yoga classes will vary between hatha yoga, vinyasa flow yoga, and restorative yoga. WHAT IF I CAN'T COME TO ALL OF THE CLASSES? No problem! You can come to the mornings only if you wish. There is pricing below for mornings only, one day only, one day with lunch and so on. The Leader of This Immersion:

Anna Laurita Anna Laurita is a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance and has more than 8,000 hours of teaching recorded with the Alliance thus far. She has conducted 13 yoga teacher trainings of 200 hours each and leads daily practice in her yoga shala. She is a yogini on and off of the mat and exudes the yoga lifestyle she leads. The Yoga Sutras are the foundation for her teachings. Her philosophy is simple: lead a yogic lifestyle, serve others and be happy.
