THAI YOGA MASSAGE
PATHWAY TO BLISS, COMPASSION & AWARENESS
An introduction for Men, Women, Couples & Professional Practitioners
Join us for an Interactive Journey into Wellness, exploring the holistic Art of Touch – Thai-style. Ancient Grace meets Modern Method in this hands-on workshop where you will learn how to apply a contemporary approach to a timeless healing art, rooted in the age-old wisdom of Yoga, Buddhism and the Indigenous Culture of South East Asia.
Traditional Northern Style Thai Yoga Therapy combines rhythmic massage, acupressure, assisted Yoga stretching exercises, gentle twisting, energy work and meditation. It aids in releasing stress & tension, increases vitality & wellbeing and deepens the connection between mind, body & spirit in both the giver and receiver. Many techniques and practices are integrated, making it a complete, balanced and deeply therapeutic system of healing.
You will practice comfortably clothed, on a special arrangement of mats on the floor, while instructor, Deon de Wet demonstrates each move on a model. He guides the group – verbally and visually - through a relaxing sequence of healing touch that can be done by and to most people.
Prior experience of Yoga or massage is not required.
This informative program is intended for anyone interested in finding more ways of enhancing intimacy and community through conscious healing touch. Come and learn how to practice loving-kindness and compassion, while improving your own flexibility, strength and alignment.
This will be a weekend of live demonstration, guided partner practice and discussion about the beautiful and deeply effective Art of Thai Yoga Massage. Find out how to feel the flow and experience how the giver can use practically all parts of their body in a meditative dance of healing, to leave the recipient feeling totally integrated – both mentally relaxed and physically invigorated.
