Frenchman's Cove was developed in the 1960's as an all-inclusive, secluded resort patronized by the very rich and famous. It is situated on 45 acres of land with a coast-line reaching 30 to 50 feet above the sea. There is a spectacular breach in the rock wall forming a secluded white sand beach. Within the lush, tropical grounds you will even find a river! Damaged by Hurricane Gilbert in the 1980's, the resort has been restored as a more accessible, environmentally friendly destination for those seeking peace and beauty a little off the beaten track. A perfect setting for our retreat!

Join us for a fun, relaxing and transformative yoga vacation in this tropical paradise and create positive change in your life! Nourish your body with muscle lengthening and strengthening yoga instruction (not to mention great local cuisine)...Nourish and relax your mind with restorative yoga and meditation techniques...Nourish your spirit with a community of new friends, a lush, tropical setting and plenty of time to play in the sun!

Other available activities include: excursions to Reach Falls, Nonsuch Caves and Athenry Gardens, river rafting, visiting other local attractions, or relaxing on the beach. It's a short trip into Port Antonio with shops and 19 restaurants.

Yoga Instructor: Valerie Rushmere, owner of Studio 1831, has been teaching, studying, and practicing Yoga for over 3 decades. She has developed her own unique style of yoga, incorporating aspects from many yoga traditions including Iyengar, Power Yoga, Vinyasa, Kripalu, and Kundalini. Her extensive background in dance, Fitness, and Pilates further enhances her ability to help each student reach their full potential. With emphasis on alignment, breathwork, and mindfulness, Valerie provides individualized attention in her twice-daily yoga classes. You will leave you feeling balanced, relaxed, and renewed. Morning yoga classes incorporate traditional hatha and flowing vinyasa yoga styles to energize and strengthen the body. Evening classes are a mix of restorative yoga, meditation, and Pranayama. Classes are flexible and can be modified to suit individual needs. All levels of experience are welcome.*

*Attendance to all classes is optional & the trip is suitable for travelers looking for R & R without yoga for a reduced rate.*
