It’s often said that yoga is for every BODY and in this workshop Ryan McGraw proves it’s true as he leads students with disabilities and other health concerns toward an understanding of the therapeutic benefits of the practice. As a person with cerebral palsy, he understands from a personal perspective how to adapt the practice of yoga to meet the unique needs of each body. Ryan deftly defines which poses are of value and demonstrates techniques that make poses accessible to every body. Using humor and charm to dispel doubt and encourage exploration, Ryan helps students gain greater ease in the body and mind. Students will use yoga props and chairs to modify the poses to meet their needs. A portion of the workshop will be done entirely in chairs without the use of yoga props to give students the skills to practice on their own at home. ** NO PRIOR YOGA EXPERIENCE NECESSARY**

Cost: $30 ($25 online at Location: Amara Yoga & Arts, Lincoln Square, Urbana
