Yoga Workshop: Teachers' Toolbox: Deconstructing Downward Facing Dog YOGA ON YORK
Event is Over
Vinyasa Flow Yoga - Gentle, Moderate and Vigorous
This particular installment of the Teacher's Toolbox will be dedicated to a deep investigation of Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog) and the dynamics of the shoulder girdle. A thorough examination of this staple, but often-under-appreciated pose provides entry into:

1)the complex anatomical constellation of the shoulder function (and potential dysfunction) 2)re-defining the concept of "shoulder-opening" and what it means to employ healthy, balanced movement 3)architectural principles of stability and alignment that translate into the essential foundation for inversions 4)hands-on technique for offering safe & effective physical assists and adjustments

This intensive promises to support teachers of all experience levels – from brand-new Teacher Training graduates, to full-time studio owners – in their quest for honed classroom skills, deeper anatomical knowledge, and sparks of creative inspiration.
