Yoga & Journaling: 21 Days to Develop a Contemplative Practice

1:00-2:30 p.m., Saturdays Jan 16 - 30.

Yoga and Journaling have a lot of wonderful things in common: They both can help us focus, reflect, get in touch with our true feelings, come more present and open to life in each moment, tap into our most creative self, de-stress, get healthier, grow and thrive.

Join Dream Yoga Teacher, Journalist, Singer-Song Writer, Life Coach practitioner, and life-long journal-keeper Lauren Fulbright for a 21-Day journey into yoga and journaling that will free your creative energy and help you tap into your personal insight/wisdom—the guru within.

Each class will start with a Gentle, All-Levels Yoga practice that will relax and open our hearts and minds. In moments between yoga and guided meditation practices, we will delve into the liberating writing processes such as free-associative writing. In an atmosphere of non-judgmental curiosity and acceptance, you’ll:

•Be inspired to capture the inner messages or revelations that come to you on your yoga mat and off.

•Discover how your Yoga Journal can be a place to work out among other things your thoughts, desires, fears and discoveries.

•Find out how journaling can deepen (and inspire) your yoga practice and your life.

ALL LEVELS, Age 17 & up. NO Yoga Experience Needed. For experienced and beginning writers alike. Alternatives to Poses/Practices will be offered as needed.

Your Instructor: Lauren Fulbright provides group and private Yoga Instruction for Teens, Tweens, Children, Families and Adults at Dream Yoga. In addition to being a Kripalu Yoga teacher, she is a Certified Instructor in Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra and the national Kripalu Yoga in the Schools program for Teens. Also a Life Coach, she holds a B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Journalism. Lauren is passionate about helping others experience for themselves how a regular practice of yoga and journaling can help you make lasting changes, find balance and peace, pursue your calling, and build a full and beautiful life.
