Yoga Therapy for Anxiety with Angela Savitri Saturday, Oct. 19, 2-4 p.m. Yoga Gallery, 633 N. Trade St., Winston-Salem, NC If you experience anxiety, insomnia, panic and/or stress, therapeutic yoga helps you regulate your stress response, calm the body, and calm the mind. During this workshop, you will discover how to develop a relationship with your body and mind that frees you from feeling like a slave to anxiety. By combining principles of therapeutic yoga, mindfulness and Ayurveda (the traditional medicine system of India), you will: Calm the racing mind to have better rest, sleep, and focus Gain self-awareness of your stress response so you can prevent unwanted anxiety symptoms Learn easy self-care & nutrition practices that build strength to protect your nervous system against stress Incorporate simple yoga postures and breathing techniques that quickly dissolve anxiety This workshop includes lecture, Yoga and mindfulness meditation practice. Come prepared to take notes and be on the mat. No experience required.
