1-5 day long silent meditation retreats offer the opportunity to explore the body-mind connection undisturbed but can seem a bit intimidating to the beginning meditator. Perhaps a dip into the concept of a silent retreat rather than an immersion is the place to begin. If you have never been to a silent meditation retreat this will be a good starting place. • We will begin at 12:30 with a brief instructional description and then directly into silence until 2:30pm. • You will be provided a light snack in the middle of the afternoon with brief instructions on mindful eating (still in silence). • Then at 3:30pm brief guided meditation and return to silent meditation until 5:00. • Followed by yoga asana from 5:30-6:30pm. Included in the retreat.

Martha Catz, M.S., E-RYT is a practitioner and teacher of mindful awareness meditation. She received her formal training at the Duke Integrative School of Complimentary Medicine with Jeff Brantley, MD, and Sasha Loring, M.Ed, LCSW.
