Prajna Weekend Intensive with Tias Little Instructor(s): Tias Little Location: DoubleTree Northlake (Atlanta, GA)

The 6 classes that comprise the Prajna Yoga Infusion in Atlanta can be purchased as a package for $350.00. You can also purchase the classes individually at

Healing the Subtle Body: Chakra Polarity Fri 3:00pm-5:30pm - $55.00 In this intensive we practice and study the important correlations between the lower and upper centers located along the spine. Tias gives a unique mapping of the chakras featuring the pairing of the first with the seventh chakra, the second with the sixth chakra, and the third with the fifth chakra. (the inner most, heart chakra stands alone). We study how structurally these pairs coincide and how they mirror each other in the subtle body. Tias will give practice sequences of asana and pranayama for each chakra pair in order to embody these dynamic polarities.

The Art of Savasana Fri 6:30pm -8:30pm $48.00 Savasana requires profound letting go of one’s body and mind, and of all the yoga poses it is the most essential in order to remain relaxed inside. You would think that savasana is simply about lying down on the floor--yet in order to effectively let go, much preparation is needed. This class features movements and openings that prepare for savasana. We emphasis release within the joints (especially around the spine), dropping the bones, softening the breath and emptying the mind.

Establishing the Central AXIS: The Core Sat 9:30am-12:30pm - $65.00 This class builds core stability by strengthening the musculature and ligaments along the spine. We emphasize bringing lightness and lift to the core body without tightening or causing constriction. This allows one to keep a firm but fluid center and to move with more grace and ease.

The Sacrum, Hip Joints and Sciatic Region Sat 2:00pm -5:00pm $65.00 This class is an immersion to bring fluidity in the hip joints. We will review the strong musculature and ligaments that hold the hip into place and we cover sciatic pain and sacro-iliac dysfunction. Given that the ligaments that hold the hip into place are the strongest in the body, bringing ease of motion into this primary load bearing joint is challenging. We will focus on external hip rotation, but also take the hip into internal rotation, flexion and extension.

Opening the Side Body Sun 9:30am -12:30pm $65.00 Freeing the side body in yoga is key to opening the core. If the side body is hemmed and bound then the inner body has no room to expand and open. Beginning at the outer heel, along the outer leg, waist, trunk, neck and skull, this class aims to release the sides of the body in order to allow the interior to open. We do both side-bends and twists.

The Rotator Cuff Blues: Healing the Shoulder Sun 2:00pm - 4:30pm $55.00 Most people have some strain or compression in the shoulder, especially on their dominant side. This is due either to trauma, or repetitive strain, and the strain is often linked to holding in the neck. This class details ways to release the upper arm and shoulder, while freeing up the connective tissues in and around the neck. We practice techniques to stabilize the bicep/tricep balance, unglue the rotator cuff muscles and free the shoulder joint. We will practice supine, seated and inverted poses that prepare the shoulder joint for weight bearing.
