Raise your hand if you are an expert at getting stressed. Western culture is now becoming synonymous with the state of fight or flight distress. Common diseases like obesity, diabetes, cancer, and chronic fatigue are all exasperated by daily stress. Gather tools for day-to-day living to enhance your stress defense shield to better ride the waves of life.

--Explore the benefits of simple breathing techniques --Employ simple movements and cleansing techniques to help increase vitality --Learn the power of twists, forward folds, cooling inversions, and deep relaxation to increase immunity and release tension. --Voyage into the effect of specific foods and herbs to support the body in returning to optimal balance. The afternoon will end with a Restorative Yoga practice designed to facilitate deep levels of renewal. Herbal teas will be provided throughout the afternoon.

About Danny Arguetty

Danny Arguetty, M.A., E-RYT, has studied and practiced extensively the Kripalu and Vinyasa approach to yoga. He leads basic and advanced yoga teacher trainings in California and India, and has taught workshops and yoga classes at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health (Lenox, MA). He works with private clients on life coaching and nutrition, and is a wellness educator. He continues to study with his primary teacher Dr. Douglas Brooks—one of the leading scholars on Tantra in the West. Arguetty is also the author of Nourishing the Teacher: inquiries, contemplations & insights on the path of yoga.
