A supple spine, limber hips, flexible legs and open shoulders. Is that too much to ask for? Not with yoga! Yoga is many things to many people. It is a source of relaxation for some. It is a gymnastic practice for others. For some it is a doorway to spirituality.

What I think is interesting is how, when practiced correctly, yoga develops a mobile, flexible, strong, balanced body, for all the years of our lives. With Iyengar yoga, alignment is the key that activates each asana/pose. Aligning each asana maximises benefits minimises risk, and brings the body into balance. It increases our range or movement, and creates good posture and pain-free living.
