A Retreat Practice with Thomas Fortel

"The philosophy of Yoga tells us that the Prana, or Conscious Force resides equally in all People and in all of Nature. Throughout the ages, the practices of yoga have been used as tools for quieting the mind and assisting the individual in connecting to an expanded state of awareness. Our conscious breath is a basic tool we use in yoga to access this river of Prana. A Yoga retreat is a time of spaciousness and equipoise as we engage the practices fully without rushing or pushing.

In this 3 hour Yoga-Retreat practice, we’ll begin with a half hour practice of Pranayama (conscious breathing) and moving into a 90 minute active practice of Standing poses, Inversions, Forward bends and Twists. We’ll complete our practice with a one hour period of restorative poses and deep relaxation".
