Kaya Kalpa: recovering, rejuvenating, and recalibrating the human system.

Kaya kalpa is an ancient Ayurvedic term that describes the complete reorganization, reconstruction, and rejuvenation of the entire human system.

This process is implicit in well taught Yoga practices where the postures, breathing techniques, and the scope of inquiry is well defined in relation to the individual, and where each of these elements unfolds in a gradual and supported way. In general there are three parts to the process: Svadyaya, or discernment, Vi-Yoga, or the removal of that which is undesirable, and Sam-Yoga, the addition of that which is supportive. So we must see the actual situation we are in fully, and in an unbiased way. Then and only then can we hope to be clear about the sacrifices we need to make, and finally the additions that we hope will serve our growth. Join Matt and Holly Krepps for a weekend journey through each of the stages that make up the rejuvenation process. The weekend will consist of posture, pranayama and meditation practices designed to highlights aspects of the process, and talks at the end of each session to address common areas of stress in our lives and ways to seek a resolution to those problems.

Save on Full Workshop $150 Svadyaya - What is my situation?

DATE: Saturday, February 27, 2016 TIME: 9:00am - 12:00pm COST: $55.00 What are the positive and negative aspects of stress? How do I know when Stress is unresolved or chronic? Understanding stress means dealing with it well. It does not mean creating a situation where stress does not happen. We need to be able to encounter stress, digest it, and recover well. Saturday morning's practice will be composed of fundamental backbend postures that are strong enough to create a clear stress response, while at the same time providing space and breath instruction to allow conscious participation in the recovery process. The class is open to all levels. The discussion is about the difficulties involved in clear and unbiased seeing, and the things that can support it.

Vi-Yoga - How do I best remove the stress that I have uncovered in my situation?

The discussion will focus on the nature of sacrifice and the context that needs to be created for new habits to take root.

Sam Yoga - What elements do I add to my situation that support the process of remaining stable in the arena of constant change?

DATE: Sunday, February 28, 2016 TIME: 9:00am - 12:00pm COST: $55.00 The practice will focus on developing the character of inhalation in relation to the structures that compose the core of the body, to highlight the nature of receiving sustenance, and building endurance.
