Kaya Kalpa: recovering, rejuvenating, and recalibrating the human system.
Kaya kalpa is an ancient Ayurvedic term that describes the complete reorganization, reconstruction, and rejuvenation of the entire human system.
This process is implicit in well taught Yoga practices where the postures, breathing techniques, and the scope of inquiry is well defined in relation to the individual, and where each of these elements unfolds in a gradual and supported way. In general there are three parts to the process: Svadyaya, or discernment, Vi-Yoga, or the removal of that which is undesirable, and Sam-Yoga, the addition of that which is supportive. So we must see the actual situation we are in fully, and in an unbiased way. Then and only then can we hope to be clear about the sacrifices we need to make, and finally the additions that we hope will serve our growth. Join Matt and Holly Krepps for a weekend journey through each of the stages that make up the rejuvenation process. The weekend will consist of posture, pranayama and meditation practices designed to highlights aspects of the process, and talks at the end of each session to address common areas of stress in our lives and ways to seek a resolution to those problems.
