The Runner's Advantage - 6 weeks - Tuesdays and Thursdays - for $99. Attention Runners: Gain an advantage for your running and maintain and heal these areas of your body.

Running presents unique challenges to our bodies. Our muscles act like scaffolding; they protect and support the skeletal structure. Tight calf muscles and IT bands may affect and limit our performance. Hamstrings need to be strong, yet flexible. Bouts with plantar fasciitis can put a damper on our training. This is a 6 week course based on 2 things: science and results. We’ll focus on a very specific area - the kinetic chain of muscles and connective tissue that runners count on, including the plantar fascia, calf muscles, hamstrings and quads, IT bands, tensor fascia lata, glutes and the piriformis. During the 6 weeks you’ll learn specific routines that will benefit your running and help keep injuries at bay. We’ll focus on working with the calf muscles to increase the range of motion in our ankles and feet. You’ll learn methods for keeping IT bands trouble free. We’ll practice the most effective ways to develop strong and flexible hamstrings. You’ll learn how to avoid and deal with plantar fasciitis. Gain an advantage for your running and maintain and heal these areas of your body.
