Peace Yoga
Ashtanga Yoga is a graceful, athletic form of yoga - a dynamic meditation in motion that consists of a precise sequence of poses woven together with the mastery of the breath. It is a powerful, personal tool for self-transformation that requires dedication and discipline, but in return cultivates physical and psychological vitality and spiritual awakening. In this 5 week workshop, we will explore the fundamentals of the method - breath, bandha, drishti, vinyasa - and learn the Primary Series - a set sequence of postures designed to align, strengthen and purify the body for dynamic physical fitness and an increasing awareness of the deeper dimensions of yoga. We will explore the Ashanga Vinyasa System within the context of Patanjali's Eight-Limbed path to Self-realization, which includes moral and ethical guidelines for living an awakened life. Philosophy and practice will be integrated into a challenging but welcoming experience that is not to be missed.

$100/5 week session Saturdays, 1-2:30pm
