This workshop provides a taste of the fundamentals of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn more than three decades ago at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Through meditation and awareness exercises, we will explore this practical time-proven approach to living fully in the present moment that has helped thousands of people achieve greater balance, vitality and health. What you will learn: What mindfulness is and how it can reduce stress and enhance well-being A variety of mindfulness meditation practices. Applications of mindfulness in day-to-day living. Instructor: Aleeze Moss, Ph.D is a senior instructor at the Jefferson-Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine’s Mindfulness Institute. She teaches Mindfulness- Based Stress Reductions to patients, health care professionals, medical students and employees in corporate settings. In addition to teaching she does research on the effects of MBSR on physical and psychological health.
