Mums and dads don’t have to be told about the exhaustion and confusion – alongside the joy – that a new baby brings into their lives. Raising a family is a remarkable time in our lives to treasure but is hugely demanding.

Our new family retreat offers you chance to rejuvenate in our beautiful Fijian environment. Brigette is leading a yoga retreat catering for new parents and parents with young families (up to 5 years) who need a break and would like to explore how yoga can support their daily lives as a family. Brigette has a passion for sharing how ways yoga can support you to nurture yourself and your family at home.Brigette describes her own entry to motherhood: I could not believe the unending happiness our new baby gave us, but caring for an infant is also relentless. ‘Me’ time is easily eroded by the tasks of infant care whilst still managing home and work demands. Yoga is such a powerful tool when raising a young family but can be almost impossible to find time to practice yoga.

To support our children to develop inner strength, serenity and compassion we first need to do that for ourselves. Children develop qualities and coping strategies directly from the way they live with us daily.

At our Daku Family Yoga Retreat you have a complete break from daily chores – we take care of you so you can enjoy time as a family and explore the benefits of yoga.

This Family Rejuvenation Retreat offers all that you need:

A morning vinyasa flow practice – exploring our yoga foundations (breath and asana). These classes will help you to revitalise energetically and release areas of tension whilst reintegrate the body and mind to find balance. Evening Practice: restorative yoga and learn to meditate and practice mindfulness: explore breath awareness, learn calming mantras and mindfulness tools that can be used as coping strategies in challenging times and learn to cultivate self care and trust intuition. This will include 1 walking meditation practice. Yoga for busy bees – bite sized yoga tools you can use daily when you don’t have time to hit the mat. Yoga play with baby (optional) – In a 45 minute class for you and baby, Brigette will help you to develop skills to connect with baby through yoga (asana, massage) and cultivate a calming environment. Yoga play with young ones (optional) – In a 20 minute class we will explore how we can play with our children in yoga, build confidence and offer them skills in calming. A free half hour massage On-site baby sitting so parents can have a little bit of get away time every day. Activities like snorkelling, hikes, visits to nearby villages Daily programme schedule
