Happiness expert and Stanford University instructor, Dr. Laura Delizonna and Exotic Yoga Retreat founder, Gayle Olson will guide you through their unique and playful program synthesizing yoga, mindfulness meditation, neuroscience and practices for greater happiness! FLOW OF THE DAY. . . Below is an outline of our daily schedule – note, all activities are optional. This retreat is your time to listen in and do exactly what your body and soul long for!

MORNINGS ~ begin with the sounds of tropical nature and a contemplative serenity walk, swim or meditation along the sea. At 8 am we meet in the stunning open-air yoga studio for our morning yoga practice that weaves in asana, pranayama, music and meditation. There is juice, coffee, tea, fruit and yogurt/granola available from 7 am, and a full tropical buffet breakfast following yoga. A Happiness workshops will follow breakfast three mornings, leaving three mornings free for spa services or excursions.

AFTERNOONS ~ are free to enjoy! Relax by the pool, have a massage, swim, surf, snorkel, scuba-dive, paddle-board, kayak, hike, whale-watch, or just lie in a hammock enjoying the luxury of down-time! A buffet lunch is served from 1:30-2:30. At 5 pm on several afternoons there will be an optional Inversion workshop with Gayle Olson, focusing on handstands and headstands.

EVENINGS ~ arrive with a relaxing sunset Yoga & Happiness session of moon salutes, restorative poses and Happiness activities. Following our sunset session is an exquisite dinner on the sea-view terrace… a three-course gourmet meal featuring inspired and traditional Mexican recipes, designed for the healthy life-style of a yogi. After dinner take a moonlight stroll on the beach, gather with friends around a bonfire or even try your feet at salsa! STUNNING ECO-LUXURY RESORT Accessible only by boat, you will be met at the airport in Puerto Vallarta and taken by boat to the beautiful setting of Xinalani Resort. This exclusive, intimate and secluded seaside resort is highly acclaimed for it’s serenity, beautiful open air accommodations, delicious vegetarian cuisine and stunning yoga studios. Meals are based on locally grown produce and fresh fish and seafood, served in the spacious terrace dining area with spectacular views that overlook the jungle and the ocean. YOGA CLASSES WITH GAYLE OLSON On this March Yoga Retreat in Mexico, we will practice yoga twice daily in spectacular open-air yoga studio — a blend of Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar and Yin yoga — with mindfulness and breath meditations. Gayle Olson, founder of Exotic Yoga Retreats and author of The Yoga & Fitness Guide for Women, has taught and practiced yoga around the world for over 20 years. Whether fiery and energetic or soft and receptive, the practice will include Gayle’s trademark hands-on massage adjustments and encourage you to maintain a strong, meditative focus on your breath — and on the joy of yoga. BOOST YOUR HAPPINESS WITH DR. LAURA DELIZONNA Dr. Laura Delizonna, PhD is an expert in the science of happiness and mindfulness. She is an instructor at Stanford University, international speaker, co-author of a book entitled “Thrive: Self-Coaching for Happiness and Success”, and a lead trainer for Search Inside Yourself, Google’s mindfulness-based emotional intelligence program. Laura’s workshops have been described as “life changing!) and she is applauded for her ability to distill highly complex concepts into simple practices and to guide participants toward long-term change.
