Did you ever wonder how to create lightness while balancing on your hands?

Today’s workshop will focus on a skillfully customized sequenced class to build up to balance in Baby Crow/Duck Pose (Karandavasana), Crow Pose (Bakasana), Side Crow (Parsva Bakasana), One-Legged Crow (Eka Pada Bakasana), The Pose dedicated to the Sage Koundinya (Eka Pada Koundinyasana 1 & 2) and peaking into Forearm Balance (Pincha Mayurasana).

Our focus will be on utilizing yoga techniques such as breath control (pranayama) and energy locks (bandhas) to gain access to the ‘seat’ of these poses, which will allow the freedom of flight to occur. We will end with a Guided Imagery Experience (Yoga Nidra) in a well-deserved Corpse Pose (Shavasana)

This workshop will be taught to All Levels, with many variations and creative use of props offered to build up to each Pose.

It is not necessary to be able to ‘fly’ in each Pose, but rather envision and work through the fear of trying. Yoga is meant to be enjoyed by everyone and what one person’s Pose may look like may not be your Pose. And that is perfectly Okay. :)

This workshop is not suitable for those with wrist, hand, shoulder, ankle, knee, feet or neck issues.

CEUs at both the 200 and 500 Levels (Yoga Alliance) can be obtained by attending this workshop.
