Saturday December 20th 9 - 10:30 am Nurturing From Within with Meegan Haley The Winter Solstice is a time for celebration of faith and a hope that our visions for the future are nurtured. This yoga practice will: nourish the body, provide time and space for the breath, reflect and clear a space for the return of light with in you. Begin with a meditation to clear the mind, standing poses to ground us to the earth, a series of forward bends to connect inward, time for reflection and raise energy. Restorative postures will be built in to the practice to help set an intention of stillness and slowing down. Optional: If you’d like to emphasize the clean, light and purity of the season, you are welcome to wear something white to class.$15 EARLY BIRD* / $20 REG.
11 - 12:30 pm Cooking for Life: Learn to Cook Ayurvedic with Rachel Alter.This class will take place at the Fred Field Center kitchen 275 South Spruce St. Ayurveda, the yogic art and science of self-care and balance, teaches the importance of warming our bodies during the cold winter months. Learn delicious, nourishing recipes and ways to warm the body and soul. We will discuss and learn self-care practices for the winter and learn and create a delicious, warming meal.$25 EARLY BIRD* / $30 REG. 4 - 6:30 pm Welcoming in the Light Ceremony with Barbara Haas Honor the longest nights of the year and welcome in the days of increasing light. Set your intentions in a theta wave guided visualization for bringing more light into your own life. Experience the power of a healing light ceremony in sacred space indoors. Then drum, rattle and dance in the dark at the Sanctuary fire pits outside to embrace your new-found inspirations. Wear black and or white or any ceremonial outfit you feel inspired to wear. Sunday December 21st 9 - 10:30 am Living Consciously in 2015 – Living a Mindful Life with Mary Burt. Learn how mindfulness and meditation can help you reduce stress and cultivate peace in the New Year. In this workshop you will learn how over-thinking can add stress, tips for working with this, restorative yoga basics and a 40 minute guided relaxation. 11:30 - 1:30 pm Balance It Out! Vinyasa practice with Susan Searle. Start the new season off with arm balances and handstands! Tap into your power and invert those old paradigms. (Minimum of 8 students required). $25 EARLY BIRD* / $30 REG.
5 - 6 pm From the Ground Up with Karah Cunningham Restorative yoga practice that will ground you for the upcoming season and year.
