Return Yoga
often considered the central energetic pathway of the body and ‘the most important’ anatomical structure of the human body, the spine rides the current between structure and fluidity, matter and energy, steadiness and ease. The spine mitigates the space between the nervous system, brain, and flesh. This intensive will look closely at the spine’s structure, the relationship between the breath and the spine, and asana as spinal exploration. We’ll learn to release tension from neck, jaw, throat and shoulders while creating safety and communication between sacrum and skull. Asana work will explore the importance of inversion, the mechanics of inverting safely, and linking these postures to our personal practice.

Each morning will begin with meditation, followed by asana practice. After lunch, we’ll work with texts, somatic experiencing, theory and practice along the spine. Each participant will have interview time with Karin to discuss personal practice, teaching, or what is coming up in their meditation.

dining room DINING ROOM

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided (vegetarian). Single or double rooms are available. There will be lots of time for wandering, studying and journaling in tucked away spaces over looking Lake Sag, and communing.
