300 Hour Yoga and Ayurveda Teacher Training Program
This in depth training channels the Wisdom Knowledge of the Vedas, the Light of our powerful ancestors, into relevant understanding and applicable techniques and lifestyle regimens. It builds upon the foundation of the 200 Hour 5 Element Yoga Teacher Training by bringing the knowledge of Ayurveda and Tantra into fusion with the great river of Classical Yoga.The premise of all branches of Yoga is that our destiny is Self Knowledge. This is defined as the total integration of our personal identity with the light of Pure Consciousness, Purusha or Atman.
Yoga is a Journey into the Light and through Yoga and Ayurveda we create light bodies. Students who embark on this journey will learn the fundamentals of Ayurveda to realize the health of body and mind that supports opening to the full potential of awakened consciousness. Together with advanced yoga sadhana, including asana, mantra,, pranayama, puja, meditation and Tantric Dance, skills will be learned to expand the scope of private and group practices, bringing effective life regimens to help colleagues, friends, families, clients and students experience their highest potential. Throughout all the sessions attendees will gain greater self mastery of advanced asana and the deeper sadhana that support spiritual awakening and a living connection to the Divine as a daily source of love, healing, creativity, inspiration, intuition, guidance, protection and peace.
Teachers will gain an understanding of how to apply programs for their students in both private and group settings, that have at their core clear knowledge of structural, energetic and spiritual anatomy to bring healing, balance, strength, focus and the energy to reach the Truth in the core of their hearts.
Woven into physical practice, daily Sadhana, study and discussion of the great texts, Ayurvedic learning, will be advanced anatomy from both the western and Ayurvedic models, and the study of Yoga Chikitsa, or therapeutic application of yoga.
Module 1: Creating a Light Body Saturday, January 24th 2015 - Sunday, February 1st 2015 (9 Days) This session will combine advanced Vinyasa practice, with deeper Sadhanas to awaken wisdom and clarity. Asanas and sequences will be studied and broken down into relevant actions to support the health of the body, mind and spirit. Yoga and Ayurveda will be studied within the context or their origins in the great Vedic texts, bringing techniques to support the positive evolution of the human race. The interface between these two systems and how they support one another will be explored.
Module 2: From the Rivers of Heaven
Saturday, April 18th 2015 - Sunday, April 26th 2015 (9 Days)
This session will dive deeper into the integration of Yoga and Ayurveda as sister sciences from the Vedas, that support us rising to our fullest human potential, weaving together the practices that embody the outer and inner limbs of Classical yoga. Students will gain a deeper understanding of Ayurveda as a medical model, based of the theory of opposites treat opposites through 20 attributes, six tastes and how they affect our senses and how the elements manifest within us. A close study of individual constitution will be engaged so that therapeutically designed yoga practices can restore balance to Vata dosha, Pitta dosha, and Kapha Dosha, as well as to the mental natures of Sattva, Rajas and Tamas.Session Three: April 18-April 26, 2015 Agni, The Yoga of Fire. This session will emphasize the advanced sequencing and purification aspect of Yoga and Ayuveda, in technique and practice, preparing the way for the manifestation of the deeper Somas of healing and Moksa. The process of disease and imbalance Vikriti Parisksa will be understood, with methods to restore balance to the digestive fire through Ayurveda lifestyle regimens and yogic practices Inner Tantra and the various techniques of healing that correspond to the subtle senses will be studied and applied. Sanskrit, and its relation to the healing power of mantra, will be practiced and learned as a tool for healing that corresponds to the subtle senses will be studied and applied.?
Module 3: Agni, The Yoga of Fire
Saturday, June 6th 2015 - Sunday, June 14th 2015 (9 Days) This session will emphasize the advanced sequencing and the purification aspect of Yoga and Ayuveda, in technique and practice, preparing the way for the manifestation of the deeper Somas of healing and Moksa. The process of diagnosis of disease and imbalance Vikriti Pariksa will be understood with methods to restore balance to the digestive fire through Ayurveda lifestyle regimens and yogic practices, Inner Tantra, and the various techniques of healing that correspond to the subtle senses will be studied and applied. Sanskrit, and its relation to the healing power of mantra, will be practiced and learned as a tool for healing that corresponds to the subtle senses.
Session Four: August 8 - August 14, 2015 Soma in Yoga and Ayurveda. The ultimate goal of yoga is Soma which can also be called Samadhi. It is the nectar/Amrita of bliss that flows from the crown chakra. This session will focus on healing and restorative therapies that tap into the current of bliss that is the core of our beings.Therapies to augment our tools for helping clients, students, friends, family and the world will be practiced and learned. These include, Yoga of Sound, Mantra Sadhana, The Yoga of Touch,Sparshana advanced adjustments and Marma therapy, Aromatherapy, Gem therapy and visualization therapy, Pranayama and therapeutic Asana.
